APPLE CRISP A LA MODE

METHOD: 

CRISP:

  • Preheat oven to 375 F.
  • Grease pie pan with a bit of coconut oil.
  • Layer apple slices on bottom pan.
  • Cover with lemon juice.
  • Mix together rest of crisp ingredients to make crumble. 
  • Spread mixture over apples. 
  • Bake for 30 minutes, then cover with foil for 20.

CREAM:

  • Blend ingredients together.
  • Serve with apple crisp.

 

 

 

 

 

 

INGREDIENTS: 

CRISP:

  • 4 thinly sliced green apples, peeled & cored
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 c tigernut flour (almond & oat are good also but not AIP) 
  • 2 tbsp coconut flour
  • 1 tbsp gelatin or collagen
  • 1/4 c coconut oil
  • dash of sea salt

ICE CREAM: 

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/4 c coconut cream (chilled)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • dash of cinnamon
